What is the GameGarden?
Welcome to the GameGarden @ UVU, where we do all the building for you. Here you will be able to convert the text files you are already using to create your multiple choice quizzes into fun, self-guided practice sessions, or interactive assessments for your students. Here you can do the following:
- View examples of the interfaces your students will be using by clicking on the links in the Arcade or Quizzing Tools areas
- Select the interfaces you would like to use by clicking the checkbox next to the title.
- Import a text file for conversion and use with the interfaces you selected
How does it work?
In order to import questions for use with the self-guided interfaces provided here, your text file must be in the Respondus Standard Format for Importing Multiple Choice Questions. All of the games in the GameGarden @ UVU are able to use up to 4 possible choices for each question.
To select a file to use click the [browse] button. Your computer's file manager will appear. Navigate to the file you would like to use, select it, then press [ok].
Once the path to the file you have selected appears in the area labeled "Respondus File" press the [submit] button.
After submitting your file you will be prompted to download the files you selected. Choose to save the zip file which contains all of the files you will need to run these games. These web based games will work on any Web site including your WebCT course.
